Intimismo e virtuosismo - Duo Mastromarino - Salemme

I samarbeid med Accademia dei Cameristi i Bari er vi glade for å presentere denne konserten med de talentfulle unge musikerne Matteo Mastromarino på klarinett og Flavia Salemme på piano. 

Konserten er tilegnet verker for klarinett og piano og begynner med den vakre Suite op 10 av Ferruccio Busoni, en fresko i seks tempi der en elegant sangbarheet i Elegia utgjør en pause og kontrast til den forførende virtuosismen i de andre satsene. Deretter følger Camille Saint-Saëns Sonate, op 167, et mesterstykke i gemenhet, eleganse og smektende lyriskhet, som uthever de to instrumentenes kvaliteter: klangens mykhet, atmosfære som fra skumringstimen, lekenhet. I andre del hører vi Claude Debussys Première Rhapsodie, en stemningsfull komposisjon med sine stadige vekslinger mellom lyriske og ironiske krumspring. Konserten avlsuttes med Francis Poulencs Sonate, op 184 som er skrevet for klarinettisten Benny Goodman. Et stykke med en poetisk musikalitet i nesten klassiske former.

Flavia Salemme, pianist. She took the bachelor in piano (2014) with honours and honorary and graduated (2015) with 110/110 cum laude at the "S. Pietro a Majella "of Naples. In 2017 she attended the advanced course in chamber music at the “Scuola di musica di Fiesole” in the class of the “Trio di Parma” and in 2018 she took the chamber music MA at the “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory of Parma, under the guidance of the Trio di Parma and M° Pierpaolo Maurizzi.

She has participated and won many European and International competitions including New York and London that allowed her to perform in the "Elgar Room" of the Royal Albert Hall. She performs both soloist and chamber ensembles with prominent personalities.
Flavia has held concerts in many European cities, including “Shigeru Kawai Center” in Madrid and “Sala Eutherpe” in Leon (Spain), the Italian Institute of Culture in London, the Academy of Music "Feliks Nowowiejski" in Bydgoszcz (Poland). In Italy she performed at “Casa Mozart” in Rovereto, the “Teatro comunale” in Siracusa, the Politeama "Garibaldi" of Palermo, Teatro "Garibaldi" and the Amphitheater of S. Maria Capua Vetere, the Teatro Comunale and Palazzo Chigi of Ariccia (RM), the State Archives of Salerno, Palazzo Zevallos of Naples, etc.
On the 27th of July, she performed as the first national premiere the minimal masterpiece "Das buch der Klange" composed by Hans Otte at the historic "Cemetery of the Fontanelle" in Naples, Italy.

In the last three years, Flavia has been working as a piano accompanist in different festivals and Conservatories.
Flavia refines herself under the guidance of M° Leonid Margarius and composition with M ° Raffaele Salemme. She studies the interpretation and the research of the piano contemporary repertoire with Prof. Ralph van Raat.
From September she will be a Master student at the HKU Conservatory of Utrecht in the class of Prof. Henry Kelder
