Viviana Lasaracina, Italian pianist, was born in 1988. She started her piano studies at the age of 6 and graduated from “Nino Rota” Conservatory in Monopoli with full marks, full honors and special mention at the age of 18, under Prof. Benedetto Lupo. She also attended masterclasses by L. Berman, E. Virsaladze, S. Perticaroli, A. Jasinski, M. Somma, A. Lonquich, C. Martinez Mehner, M. Raekallio, A. Vardi, P. Gililov and C. Ortiz.
She won many national and international piano competitions in Italy such as “Città di Cesenatico”, “Marco Bramanti”, “TIM – Torneo Internazionale della Musica” among others and numerous scholarships by “Società Umanitaria” in Milan, MIUR (Ministery of Education University and Research) and YMFE (Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe). Winner of the 11th Castrocaro Competition, she recorded music by Chopin and Liszt. In 2007 Viviana won the 2nd prize at the prestigious “Premio Venezia” performing at Teatro La Fenice. Finalist at 57th “Ferruccio Busoni” International Piano competition in Bolzano (2008) and selected as official competitor of Gina
Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, USA and UNISA international Piano Competition, South Africa, Viviana won the 3rd Prize and the prize for the best performance of Spanish Music at “Ciudad de Ferrol” International Piano Competition (2009), the 3rd Prize and Audience Prize at 53rd Ciudad de Jaèn” International Piano Competition (2011), was laureate at “Halina Czerny Stefanska in memoriam” International Piano Competition (2011) and won Second Prize and the Prize for the Best Performance of a Classical Work at 1st Open Piano Competition in London (2012). She was also semifinalist at Montreal International Music Competition (2014), one of the six finalists at the German Piano Award in Frankfurt in 2013, finalist at YCAT (Young Concert Artists Trust) Auditions in London and the winner of the New York Concert Artists and Associates Carnegie recital Debut Auditions.
In 2015 Viviana won the 2nd Prize and the Prize for the Best Performance of Spanish Music and “Iturbi” International Piano Competition in Valencia, Spain.
Most recently, Viviana won the 2nd prize at “Euregio” piano award in Germany and the prize for the best performance of an etude by Chopin at “Maj Lind” International Piano Competition in Helsinki, Finland.
In 2006 she made her Milan debut at Sala Verdi for “Società dei Concerti” having a great success.
Viviana has perfomed extensively in Italy, Austria, Spain, Germany, France and Poland in such important venues as: Torino (Sala Verdi), Mantova (Teatro Bibiena), Milano (Teatro Dal Verme and Auditorium), Roma (Teatro Argentina), Salerno (Teatro Verdi), Padova (Auditorium Pollini), Trieste (Teatro Verdi), Lecce (Teatro Politeama), Bari (Teatro Petruzzelli), Vicenza (Teatro Olimpico), Rome
(Parco della Musica – Cavea), Saarbruken, Saragoza (Auditorio de Congresos), Ferrol (Teatro Jofre), Jaèn (Nuevo Teatro Infanta Leonor), Valencia (Palau de la Musica), Salzburg (Wiener Saal of Mozarteum), Paris (Salle Cortot), Nice, London (Wigmore Hall and Steinway Hall), Saint Petersburg, (Prokofiev Hall, Mariinsky Theatre II).
In 2014 she debuted in Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Centre of the Performing Arts with the Rhapsody by Rachmaninov on a theme of Paganini and at the Carnegie Weill Hall in New York.
She also performed with Magna Grecia Orchestra, Ciudad de Granada Orchestra, Bacau “Mihail Jora” Orchestra, “La Verdi” Orchestra, the Orchestra of Valencia, Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, Liubljana International Orchestra and Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Viviana collaborated with such musicians as cellists Silvia Chiesa and Francesco Mastromatteo, Philipp Glass, Daniele Orlando (First Violin of “Solisti Aquilani”), wind players of Petruzzelli Theatre Orchestra among others.
Some of her live performances have been broadcasted on Radio Vaticana, Rai radio 3 and Rai5.
Recipient of a generous scholarship, Viviana attended the Royal Academy of Music where she obtained her Master of Arts degree in 2014, studying with Professor Christopher Elton.
In 2016, at conclusion of her studies, Viviana obtained the Diploma “cum laude” at Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome.
Her debut album, entirely devoted to E. Granados, is edited by Dynamic.
She is piano professor at “Lorenzo Perosi” Conservatory in Campobasso
