Komponisten, etnomusikeren og læreren Ahmed Adnan Saygun har betydd mye for å spre vestlig musikk i Tyrkia. I en nekrolog i Times den 15.januar 1991 kunne vi lese om ham: the grand old man in Turkish music, who was to his country what Sibelius is to Finland, what de Falla is to Spain and what Bartók is to Hungary.
Kveldens program tar utgangspunkt i dette sitatet og ønsker å sette i perspektiv tre komponister som har studert og brukt folkemusikk – sanger, melodier, rytmer – fra sine hjemland i sine verk, for så å utvikle et eget musikalsk språk. På den måten har de kunnet styrke den kulturelle identiteten til disse landene.

Ida Pelliccioli was born in Bergamo, Italy. She studied at the Nice Conservatoire de Région and at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot in the class of Serguei Markarov, Unesco Artist for Peace. During her studies, Ida Pelliccioli was awarded several scholarships, amongst them, one from the Zygmunt Zaleski Foundation and one from Fondation Albert Roussel.Ida received a double master diploma at the Sorbonne University – in Italian Literature and in Ancient Greek History, specializing for the latter in the practice of music during the Hellenistic period.
Ida has been performing throughout Europe and Canada.
From Spring 2022, she will sart to collaborate with Berlin-Tokyo Quartet, performing a quintet programme with them.
In 2021/2022 Ida also took up a teaching position at Paris Conservatoire du 8ème arrondissement.
