Om Guido Scano:

As piano solo, piano duo member, with orchestras and several other musicians – all over Italy, taking part in numerous festivals – even in Slovenia, Egypt, France, Bulgaria, India,Germany (where he’s been teacher in a masterclass in Baviera), Poland (even summer courses teacher and foreign judge in international contests), Greece, Portugal (for three consequent years, tournèes and jury member), Romania, Denmark, Austria, Bielorussia, Turkey, Switzerland, Lithuania, Malta .
With Erasmus, he’s been in Spain, where he held a course on piano technique, in 2008 and 2011 (Conservatory of Murcia) and in Romania (Conservatory of Cluj-Napoca) in 2013 .
As president of CIRM (Centro Internazionale Ricerche Musicali), he’s been coordinator of all musical
initiatives at the Piccolo Regio theatre of Turin from 2001 to 2007.
Studied in Italy (Conservatory of Bologna), in Switzerland (Ecole Internationale de Piano in Lausanne) and in Austria (Mozarteum of Salisburgo).
Winner of several piano prizes since he was young.
Recorded piano tracks for RAI-TV, TeleMontecarlo, RadioCapodistria and other italian and foreign radio stations.
Attentive divulger of rare music from the nearest past, he recorded for the first time in CD, pieces by the sardinian composer Lao Silesu, together with some colleagues from the conservatory Ghedini of Cuneo, where he taught piano for over a decade.
In addition, he is a former member of the quintet Nuova Europa, characterized by its components: each of the members is from a different european country.
A new CD is about to come out, containing music and words by Erik Satie and part of Ferruccio Busoni’s chamber music repertoire.
After many years like professor in Trieste and Piacenza Conservatories, since the schoolyear 2015/2016, he is piano teacher at the Conservatory «Arrigo Boito» of Parma.
