Juletoner med Hamsa Irene Rinaldi og Michelangelo Carbonara

Vi har den glede å invitere til vår tradisjonelle juleavslutning med musikk og litt italiensk julegodt. I år har vi invitert sopranen Hamsa Irene Rinaldi og Michelangelo Carbonara ved flygelet til å stå for juletonene.

Musikkaftenen er delt i tre. Første del er dedikert italienske komponister og vi får høre kjente opera-arier og romanser. Deretter kommer en tributt til Norge med Solveigs Sang og Sankta Lucia på norsk og italiensk. Sankta Lucia-sangen forbindes jo gjerne med Lucia-feiringen her i Nordeuropa, men kommer egentlig fra Napoli. Til sist vil vi får høre tradisjonelle julesanger.

Hamsa Irene RINALDI (operatic soprano) was born in Rome, and is an Italian citizen. She graduated in singing from the Santa Cecilia’s Conservatory in Rome. She studied under Ilaria Piccin and received further voice training from the acclaimed Franca Forgiero. She is currently continuing her studies with the Norwegian soprano Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz. She attended acting classes, in Italian diction and dubbing at the “Piccola Accademia della Comunicazione e dello Spettacolo” of Stefano Jurgens. The experience with yoga has enabled her to develop a vocal discipline and an involvement of body, mind and spirit. She attended the MasterClass “L’OPERA PIANISTICA DI GEORGE GERSHWIN”(2015) e “I LOVEs YOU GERSHWIN”(2016) given by teacher Stefano Micheletti, at the Conservatory of Music of Santa Cecilia, improving her technique and her interpretation about George Gershwin’s songs. She attended the following courses: “Scenic art” workshop given by teacher Pietro Spagnoli, “Directing” with Giuseppe Piccioni, Daniele Lucchetti and Antonello Grimaldi, “Background music and Soundtracks” with Ludovico Einaudi, “Film review” with Flavio De Bernardinis, “Screenplay” with Franco Bernini and Gualtiero Rosella, “Vocal technique for Musicals” with Donatella Pandimiglio. “Jazz improvisation” with Cinzia Spata.

Michelangelo Carbonara (Salerno,1979) owes his piano training mainly to Sergio Perticaroli, William Grant Naboré and Fou Ts’Ong.
He began his musical studies when he was five studying with Paola Barbera, at six he started composing and giving concerts. Then he studied with Giuliana Bordoni Brengola and he graduated at seventeen at the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome, with full marks, under Fausto Di Cesare’s guidance. In 1999 he was awarded his Piano Specialisation Degree by the Academy of Santa Cecilia, winning a grant as best graduate of the year. 
He continued his studies at the Salzburg Mozarteum and at the Académie Musicale de Villecroze in France. He attended masterclasses headed by Bruno Canino, Dominique Merlet and Gyorgy Sandor.
In 2001 he was admitted to the International Piano Foundation “Theo Lieven” and the International Piano Academy Lake-Como headed by Martha Argerich. He had lessons with many important pianists such as Leon Fleisher, Dimitri Bashkirov, Claude Frank, Menahem Pressler, Andreas Staier, Peter Frankl and Alicia De Larrocha.
Recently he met Aldo Ciccolini, benefiting from his advice especially for the French repertoire.
He has won 17 prizes in International piano competitions (including the Schubert International Piano Competition in Dortmund).
In 2003 he gave his first performance in China, and a masterclass at the Central Conservatory in Beijing.
In 2007 he made his debut at Carnegie Hall, New York and he now performs regularly in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.
In 2009 he gave a special concert at the Prague Spring with his colleague and friend Cédric Pescia.
He has recorded for Papageno, Tactus and Suonare Records. In 2008 he recorded for Brilliant Classics the complete piano music by Maurice Ravel and a CD with piano music by Nino Rota; in 2009 his double CD containing 42 Sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti, for the same label. In 2011 he started the recording of the complete Schubert Sonatas for Piano Classics label.
In 2005 he was chosen as one of the artists presented by the Keyboard Charitable Trust of London and, since 2006, his career has been supported by Associazione Ambrosia in Milano.
In 2007 he became one of the artists promoted by the Italian National Committee for Music (CIDIM), as pianist of Fortuna Piano Trio, together with the violinist Markus Placci and the cellist Kyung Mi Lee. They performed in Europe and in South America (Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay).
Since 2006 he has also performed in the dual role of conductor and soloist.
His repertoire includes all Schubert sonatas and the complete piano music by Carl Maria von Weber, and most of the works by Brahms, Schumann, Beethoven, Clementi and Platti, several Scarlatti sonatas and music by many Polish composers of the XX century. In 2005 he was invited at the National Prize for Arts, promoted by the Italian Ministery for Culture, as testimonial for the italian music.
He is active also as conductor, composer, arranger and recording director of classical music as well as jazz, pop and film music.
