Tiziano Palladino på mandolin

En sjelden kveld på IIC: I samarbeid med prosjektet Suono Italiano 2019-2020, presenterer vi en konsert dedikert i sin helhet til verker for mandolin med den unge men anerkjente musikeren Tiziano Palladino.

Tiziano Palladino was born on May 26, 1987 in Campobasso (Italy). He went on to study with Mauro Squillante at the “Niccolò Piccinni Conservatory” in Bari where he graduated when he was 18 years old. At the age of 21 years old he graduated in Double Bass at the “Lorenzo Perosi Conservatory” in Campobasso. In 2012 he graduated with honors also in Chamber Music.
He won many international competitions. Two among many are the 1st Price in “Raffaele Calace Competition of Solo Mandolin” (2006) and the “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” sponsored by AFAM/MIUR (2011).
Tiziano has recorded many CDs: “Volo Pindarico” and “Tiziano Palladino plays Giuseppe Pettine” entirely played for solo mandolin, “Together”, “Mandolini all’Opera” and “I Plettri” whit other chamber ensembles.
He has performed over 600 concerts all over the World and he is constantly appreciated for his versatility, his virtuosic playing and the particular sensibility that mark every performance.
He has made many tours. The most memorable were in Canada in the years 2013 and 2016 and in USA where he performed at New York International Mandolin Festival too.
He has played concert for solo mandolin at the Italian Institute of Culture in Warsaw, Madrid, Istanbul, Dublin,
Stockholm, Athens, Thessaloniki for the project “Suono Italiano” organized by CIDIM.
It is very remarkable the collaboration with guitarist Davide Di Ienno in prestigious festivals as “Bir Miftuh International Music Festival” in Malta and “Ravello Concert Society”. He is a mandolin and double bass teacherat the Music High School «Galanti» in Campobasso.
