Italian Design Day @ EST, OsloMet

On March 23, OsloMet’s Department of Art, Design and Drama in the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design – plays host to Italian Design Day.

Visiting Design Ambassador Assoc. Prof. Giovanni Maria Conti from Politecnico di Milano will present current perspectives on sustainable fashion in the Italian fashion industry and workshop sustainable fashion systems thinking with students.
Associate Professor Giovanni Maria Conti is visiting Oslo as a guest of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.

Responsible Fashion: how sustainability approaches are changing the fashion industries.
Visiting Associate Professor Giovanni Maria Conti of Politecnico Milano will share insights from case studies undertaken in collaboration with Italian fashion manufacturers and discuss how the Italian fashion industry is adopting sustainable practices.

Giovanni Maria Conti, Ph.D, Associate Professor, he is currently the Coordinator of Knitwear design Lab – Knitlab of the Fashion Design Degree at the Politecnico di Milano.
Founder and Scientific Coordinator of the website/blog www.knitlab.org , he is Instituto Italo-Latino Americano – IILA expert collaborator in the Pymes Forum for cooperation projects on textile and fashion. He is Director of the Master in Fashion Direction: Product Sustainability Management at MFI (Milano Fashion Institute Consortium) and member of LeNS – International Learning Network on Sustainability
