The Love Songs from the Renaissance series returns in 2026 with a programme devoted to 16th-century Italy, featuring madrigals by Verdelot, Arcadelt and Marenzio, alongside works by Gastoldi, Cara, Orlando di Lasso, Francesco da Milano and Vincenzo Galilei.
CANTA Ensemble’s four soloists are joined by recorder and triple harp. The evening includes a short talk on Italian Renaissance art and a presentation on 16th-century lute making by Bergen-based luthier Lars Tørressen.
