How can design contribute to a better life? The Italian Design Day 2025 embraces the theme of the 2025 edition of the Triennale Milano International Exhibition, Inequalities, that will focus on the growing and complex issue of global inequalities. In line with this, on March 11, Damiano Gullì, Curator of Contemporary Art and Public Programs at Triennale Milano, will hold the conference Inequalities: How to Mend the Fractures of Humanity at Pressens Hus.

Spanning from May 13 to November 9, 2025, the exhibition will explore the political, social, and economic divisions that continue to shape the human experience. Through a series of critical perspectives, it will address themes such as gender, wealth, mobility, access to education, healthcare, and the effects of climate change and migration. The exhibition aims to highlight the urgent need for new forms of community that embrace difference as a resource and a value, creating spaces for collective reflection and action on these pressing global challenges. Examples of Italian design projects will showcase how working to create a better life is a defining feature of Italian design.

The conference is followed by Q&A and an aperitif. Welcome!
