The Italian Cultural Institute in Oslo and Norla (Norwegian Literature Abroad, the body responsible for promoting Norwegian books abroad) are organizing an initiative dedicated to children’s literature in Oslo from 9 to 11 September 2024. The two-days program will engage the Norwegian and Italian publishers in a series of bilateral meetings aimed at consolidating and enriching a network of relationships that have already been in place for several years. The seminar is part of the preparatory events before Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2026 where Norway will be the Guest of Honor Country.
On the opening evening of the two days seminar which will take place at the Italian Cultural Institute on September 9, Bruno Giancarli, from the research and study department at the Italian Publishers Association – AIE, will hold a conference. During the conference the young but already renowned children book’s illustrator Vincenzo Del Vecchio will make a live drawing session.
